Thanksgiving

Things I am thankful for today:

The imagination of Gordon and Ellis.

Playing in the snow. Rather, watching Ellis and Gordon going around and having a taste of snow off everything that had snow on it.

Family Home Evening.

A husband who helps our 4 year old plan a lesson for Family Home Evening that is obviously something Gordon would want to do. To begin, Gordon gave everyone 1 chocolate chip then he went over and took Mia's and ate it. He said the lesson was on being sorry. He went through the steps; 1. Say you are sorry. 2. Make it right. (Gordon gave Mia his chocolate chip.) Then he went and took Seth's chocolate chip and ate it and asked everyone if he was really sorry. After everyone answered no, he held up 3. Don't do it again. I think it was very effective.

Playing the "Hide" game Ellis made up. It goes a little like this: One person hides under Ellis' blanket and everyone else gets to go and find them.

Picking Jared up from "Chimes Club" and having him say, "I LOVE CHIMES!"

Reading "James and the Giant Peach" to my kids. Whenever I stop at least one of them says, "Awe. You always stop when it is getting exciting." I remember when my teachers would read out loud after lunch recess and I would always feel that way.

Having 4 happy and healthy kids help me with dinner tonight.

woo wee! You do have a lot to be thankful for!
I love Seth's idea for Gordon's FHE lesson! That is the perfect thing for him to do to understand the concept for himself too.

love you guys!

I still read books to Jonathan. I don't know what I'll do when he leaves. Can I borrow your's?
