Lesson Learned

Just because it will be much easier to cut your little (wiggly) boy's hair in the bathtub doesn't mean it is a good idea. Gordon has so much hair. The good news is that I scrubbed our bathtub clean.

I hate cutting hair. When Great Clips was having their sale a month ago I broke down and took Nate and Erik, but told them it won't happen every time. I just hate getting hair all over the bathroom which it always does. The bathtub seems like a good idea to catch it but then you end up with it all over your bathtub. I think I might try it outside on the grass this summer or even on the deck and then get out my blower and blow it all away. Less clean up!

When Braden was little, I would wait till he was asleep and cut his hair while he was sleeping. With the girls, I would give them a sucker to eat while I was doing their hair, so they looked forward to getting theirs done.

Erika, You were able to cut his hair while he was sleeping? I don't know why I am amazed by this idea. I might have to try it out. Especially if I put him to bed on a towel or something.

Missy, I generally cut hair outside, especailly if I am using the clippers.

My kids never had much hair and they seem to have less every year, so the bathtub wasn't bad at all. I must confess that Jonathan has had the majority of his haircuts at Great Clips. I just never learned how to do anything but the bowl cut.
