After School I asked her who she sat by and she told me that they don't even have desks! They got to sit on the carpet the whole time. They had a party for the first day and they got party hats, noise makers and those things you blow on and they unroll - these didn't make noise. She told me that there is another Mia. I asked her if she needed to put her name on her school work as Mia L. and she said, "No. The other Mia spells her name Mia and I spell my name MiA."
I had a little bit of a hard time leaving her but I thought of all the adventures she was going to have and I didn't even cry one little bit. I almost started and then I changed my train of thought. I think Mia missed more then she let on because after she got home, she REALLY needed my attention and wanted to play with me and touch me and just be near me.
Now for the fun--pictures:
Mia let me fix her hair and I think it turned out pretty cute. I just braided the fronts and put the rest in high ponytails with the ends of the braids.
She refused to smile for me. I told her to smile and she told me, "I am." I just took what I could get.
Mia wore the bracelet that my friend helped me make. It was like a little piece of me went to school with her on the first day.
