My kids are upstairs right now playing "Life". I was just finishing up the dishes and I heard Jared say, "I can't wait until I am married! Can you Mia?"

I remember playing life as a little girl. One horrible game, I went through without any children. When I got past the last "baby spot", I started to cry (I wasn't crying as much as I was bawling my head off.) and I don't really remember wanting to play again since then.

The things you overhear while your kids play! Hysterical.

I'm sorry you had no children in your life game. I'd cry too. Or bend the rules. I recall a Life game where I drove around the family block so many times I needed 2 cars to haul all the kids.

Gabe loves board games, and asked to play Life. I explained the game and the rules before we started. His reply, "that is a boring sounding game, who'd want to play that?". Clearly he prefers fictitious games.

There is too much competition in my family. You do get money for having the kids...don't want to encourage me...

I told the kids the rules and then I just let them play however they want. I think they were just loading up their cars with kids and maybe using the spinner for a merri-go-round. I think they feel grown up when playing it. My mother-in-law gave me Monopoly which Seth's sister sat down and taught them how to play. I think they forgot about it though.

If they combined the two games, they could have hotels for their families to live in.
